SensoryMetrics is now fully OpenID Enabled

OpenID

A few days back, we enabled OpenID on SensoryMetrics using a wonderful bleeding new WordPress plug-in.

What does this mean? Well, for one, visitors can still comment without requiring an openID. However, if you sign in with your openID on SensoryMetrics, you will then have access to some of our private information such as our most popular post lists. Plus you’ll be able to edit your profile information. (Yeah, it’s super limited and simple). If you’re looking for more for your profile, then consider LinkedIN it provides a really nice free business profile which you can share with everyone online.

The other benefit is that we have some context (or absolutely no context) for who you are. Wha? Yeah, openID pretty much relies on how well you set it up. For instance, I link to my personal blog for setting up my openID. I also have an openID which links me to this blog. On this blog you will find some information about who I am. However, I could also set up an openID which points to nothing of significance about who I am making my openID somewhat anonymous. You’re in control.

The big bonus is that the more openID is used throughout the web, the less I’ll have to register and login for each blog or web tool that I use. One login per session using my wordpress login and then all other sites are available as well.

    Hello!
As far as I can see, your OpenID implementation seems to work great.
Thanks for your submission to “The OpenID Directory“.
BTW: You can let your readers vote for your site and claim ownership at the same time. If you have not registered your site yourself, claiming ownership enables you to to make changes to your description, thumbnail etc. any time you like :) .
    Keep up the good work!

With the upgrade to WP 2.5 we were able to bring OpenID back to our blog. Thanks to the great team that makes any and all of this possible!
