HouseParty.com: the LinkedIn Chain of Personal History

picture-67.pngI signed up for LikedIn ages ago - but until this year never took it seriously. But after a bunch of invitations, I started searching my past. Wow - people I never thought I’d find were there.

Yesterday I found Gene deRose. Gene was co-founder of Jupiter Communications. Based in New York, he reported on emerging communication technology, like caller ID. I often contributed insights into trying to get caller ID approved. (strangely the human rights lobbies were against it).

Move to yesterday, Gene is there! No longer with Jupiter but as CEO of HouseParty.com. The site plans special events and promotions - like an advanced CD release. You pick an event, organize a party, and share the fun. Cool concept!
