Zoom Info Launches API: Is it enough to reinvent itself?

September 6th, 2007 by Mitch Brisebois

zoom.JPGZoom Info , the grand-daddy of corporate who’s who hasn’t been in the limelight for a while – probably because it’s functionality lags way behind sites like LinkedIn. In an effort to re-invent itself, it officially launched a public API today. The company hopes that developers will create interesting business apps leveraging Zoom’s semantic search and directory of people and companies. I used to like Zoom Info, so I hope it works out. I have a feeling though the company isn’t reaching far enough… For example, it’s limiting app developers to only 2000 calls per day per API key. Isn’t that like telling people – we’re afraid of success???

Hey, Alec… how about a Zoom iotum conferencing app?
