New Quasi Universal Intergallactic Denomination to replace the Euro
Redesigners launched their latest competition this week to create the best inter-galactic currency. They figured that since Universal Space Lord Branson will be taking off for the Virgin Universe in 2009, he better have some pocket change. Alas, their research has concluded that earthly methods of payment, mag stripes, paper, and coins would not be suitable. The new currency will be made from polytetrafluoroethylene and be called the Quasi Universal Intergallactic Denomination (QUID). This comes after decades of work perfecting the Quasi Accepted Intercontinental Kurrency (QAIK).
So far, Klingon-owned Klingee-Marts have refused to accept the new currency, saying it would cost too much to upgrade their cash registers.
BTW – another very cool industrial desgn project by Redesigners!
