Jisus Goes Dutch
There’s a lot of things I like about Holland. Heineken is good. Tulips are nice. Those Philips’ Compact Cassettes used to rock! This year (on May 25) Dutch electronics company Van Der Led is launching a new micro PC, running Ubuntu. It’s obviously targeting Asus’ ultra-popular eeePC. Its 299 EU pricetag is a bit steep though.
Of course product naming is always a strange art in the Netherlands! We would have loved to have sat in on the brainstorming session to name this thing: Jisus. No word from Van Der Led whether they’ll be introducing a Mareee model.
Not to be outdone, a Danish electronics company is considering building a similar PC. It’s name has yet to be announced, but we can pretty well guess.
UPDATE: Google seems to be having trouble with Van Der Led’s branding!
