RjDj on iPhone: Your very own personal drugged-out soundtrack

October 1st, 2008 by Mitch Brisebois

RjDj is an upcoming iPhone app that turns your wonder-phone into a personal “reactive” music player. The app contains a bunch of “scenes” which are musical compositions that change depending on the sensory experience of your environment. If there are sounds around you, they’re automatically incorporated in real-time; loudness levels alter the tone and content; and motion alter the tempo and complexity.

It’s all very cool – but a bit difficult to comprehend without seeing the video. BTW – give the video a chance – starts off a bit slow!

I can’t help wondering what the glorious crescendo will sound like when the headphone-wearing user is hit by a bus!
