iPhone GPS Hack for iPod Touch
The most annoying error message that comes up time and time again on so many iPod touch apps is “acquiring current position…”. Then the stupid thing just hangs.
The problem seems to be that the application is looking for my GPS location, but trouble is, I’m not running the application using an iPhone, I’m using my iPod. So why can’t I just type in my location? Just once, somewhere, I wish I could type it in so that all of these cool apps could actually work on my iPod Touch.
To all the wonderful iPhone app developers, please give a quick test of your application on iPod Touch. With a couple of simple tweaks to make your application iPod Touch friendly, you will be broadening your market.
Please if anyone out there knows of a way to fix these error messages on the iPod Touch, please comment or email us a fix. Preferably without going as far as full jailbreak. We’d even pay upto about 6 bucks for such an app with or without Apple’s approval.
