Jaiku out-twitters: A fun, mobile presence aggregator

March 19th, 2007by Mitch Brisebois

jaigo.gifWhy should you have to tell Twitter “what you’re doing”? With Jaiku, your micro-posts are blended with all your other RSS-fed content: Flickr, blog, Twitter, and any other favorite Location Based Service… If you find any value at all with Twitter, Jaiku is worth checking out. The service was launched a couple months ago by founders Jyri EngestrĂ© and Petteri Koponen in Helsinki, Finland – the epicenter of all things mobility. From the demos – this may be the next level in the mobile presence experience!

Profilactic: Preventing an online identity crisis

March 19th, 2007by Mitch Brisebois

profilactic_logo_beta.gifIt’s so funny that you might mistake it for a web 2.0 parody site. Profilactic is a “digital life aggregrator” which let’s you keep all of your online profiles in one place. It also enables you to mash-up your content from various sites. You can stream your friends’ aggregated content too, and ship yours back out to them. Cool idea from 4 family guys working in Kentucky.

On their FAQ, when asked “why the stupid name?’. Their response, ” We could ask your mom and dad the same question, but that would be rude!”
