The premise is interesting… ResidentsIQ people moving into a close-knit environments may not have the skills to get to know each other… A new condo… you don’t know your neighbours… It’s not easy making connections. Although it’s a good concept, it still leaves me skeptical… Residents IQ? [...]

One of my favourite social network sites seems to have become infested with buzz bots. Buzz bots are software bots that pretend to be human, but are actually just out to spread their viral advertising. Quite often these bots feed back any real world interaction to a real human counterpart usually referred to [...]

Being a former DJ, I love the idea of this site: YourSpins.com lets you remix the tracks of existing music and post your “noob” creation on yourspins page, or on your own web page or blog - you can even download it as your ringtone.
How does it work? A bunch of artists have allowed their [...]

So sure Facebook is popular. But it paid a price for straying from its frathouse origins. Enter yet another social site - Qlique “the location aware social network”… It mostly gets points here for using lots of Qs in its name! Qute! Quaint! Queasy!

As a dog, I’m prone to mood swings. That’s why I can’t understand those people wasting their time on Facebook, when they could be on Unthirsty - searching for the nearest “Happy Hour”. It seems that it’s mostly a west coast thing right now. But, they do have a mobile edition (in case you’re walkin’ [...]
